Rest, Routine and Recovery

Champions are rarely made on the court alone. The players we follow start their days with a fixed breakfast, a short walk and a stretching session before any practice begins. Their schedules are planned weeks in advance, with travel, rest and training blocks marked clearly.
Recovery is treated as a skill. Ice baths, compression sleeves and gentle mobility work are used after long matches, but the most important tool is sleep. Many players keep the same bedtime during tournaments, even when local time zones make it difficult.
Doubles players often describe the off-court side of their partnership as just as important. Regular team dinners and honest debriefs after each match help them keep trust high when the score turns against them.
