Kazakhstan Tennis started as a small photo project in 2015. We wanted to show the people behind the results: the coaches who arrive before sunrise, the juniors practising in the rain and the players who keep going after a hard loss.

Our mission

We document tennis in Kazakhstan and the region with honest, unposed photographs and clear match reports. Our aim is to help young players, families and fans follow the circuit, and to make the work of the tournament teams visible.

The team

Aliya Karimova

Founder and editor. Started the project in 2015 to document the regional tennis circuit.

Daniyar Seitov

Photo editor. Selects, edits and captions every photo before it goes online.

Madina Tulegenova

Tournament coordinator. Keeps the tournament calendar and works with organisers and players.

Nurlan Aitbayev

Writer and match reporter. Covers the matches, interviews players and writes the weekly reports.
